David Futch, PE

David Futch, PE, has worked in the oil and gas industry since 2012, specializing in midstream pipeline materials, welding, and corrosion. At ADV Integrity, he guides clients through failure analysis programs, repair technique selection, material degradation phenomena, material selection, and welding-related issues. Prior to joining ADV, David was a Materials and Corrosion Engineer for ExxonMobil Pipeline Company, where he was responsible for the midstream pipeline repair program, pipeline welding program, materials selection, regulator inquiries, and failure analysis work. Before ExxonMobil, he worked at a consulting firm where he performed over 100 failure analyses and integrity assessments related to pipeline materials. David received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Materials Science and Engineering, with a focus in Metallurgy, from the University of Florida. He has published papers at industry conferences, PRCI, and API. He is a registered Professional Engineer (Metallurgical) in the State of Texas. When David is not at work, he enjoys spending time with his wife Alicia and their two kids, hunting, fishing, and golfing.
